Mickky loses 'cabinet' battle
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 23 February 2011 21:19 IST

It’s time for Mickky Pacheco to shed tears once again. He is not getting inducted in the cabinet.
“I am not interested in a cabinet berth”, Mickky claims now, after returning empty handed from Delhi.
He, along with his close supporters, was camping in Delhi for quite a few days now. He had almost three meetings with NCP chief Sharad Pawar over the issue.
Mickky, yesterday, had even claimed that the party may think of withdrawing its support to Digambar Kamat-led coalition government if he was not inducted into the cabinet.
The last meeting was held today morning, which was also attended by civil aviation minister Praful Patel. However, no such decision came out.
Mickky’s induction had become a major issue last month when the Congress bigwigs had come together to oppose it by dropping revenue minister Jose Philip D’Souza.
In spite of NCP high command’s clear instructions, both D’Souza and tourism minister Nilkanth Halarnkar had refused to step down as ministers.
The issue actually is not limited to Mickky’s induction but the real battle was for the survival of the NCP.
The Congress has reportedly planned to field both D’Souza and Halarnkar as Congress candidates in the forthcoming election, while wiping out the NCP.
The NCP high command was pressing for Mickky’s induction precisely to keep the NCP afloat, as nobody wants Mickky into the Congress.
Since then, both the coalition partners – the Congress and the NCP – have been repeatedly announcing that they would face polls independently, without any coalition partner. The last election was fought by both the parties jointly.
The NCP is however in a quandary since the government is not at all threatened even if the three-member NCP withdraws.
The Congress, in the 40-member House, has strength of 20. Besides three NCP legislators, it also has support of two Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party MLAs. Besides independent MLA Anil Salgaoncar, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has 14 members in the House.

To Sunil, I hope that N Fernandes has explained all clearly to you. N Fernandes is right, giving money to the poor is bribe. In addition I am suprised to hear from you that Micky is your God. We have no problem with that, you can believe in any object you desire. Again Sunil, read what N Fernandes writes to you carefully, may be it will help.

To Sunil::::I admire your support for Mickky. However there is a big difference in commandng a vote and demanding one. There is also a vast difference in winnin a vote and buying a vote.I am quite sure yu are sufficiently (I Hope) intelligent to understand ths difference.
If you admire money power that is your free choice. But this admiration for money power makes you a servant of Mickky not his electoral master.
If Mickky cannot get what he wants he uses blunt force. He is also known to cry like a little baby, when the real truth hits him in the face.
Oh yes...he may be charitable...but whose money is he spending.?The simple answer is yours and mine.
Mickky is a very tainted MLA.The only asset that gives him any respect is money. But please realise that are many others that also have money. But these people have more commense in their little finger ,than Mickky has in his whole body.
Many now believe Miccky is finished. He has several cases pending against him.surely one of them will stick to him and be his final anthem.
Good luck to you for serving him blindly.

What is going to be Mickky`s next "BLUFF".
Is he going to field 40 canditates at the next election.?
Is he going to take over the Panjim CCP.
Is he going to request state hood for Betalbatim or Nuvem?
Is he going to field Viola in Benaulim?.
By any standards,Mickky must know his actions and statements are pure thuggery or the work of an illiterate Goonda.
No doubt he will be assisted in his quests by Matthew Diniz, his sidekick.
The wolves of Betalbatim surely work in packs.
when all fails, the waterworks (Tears),begin to fall.
What is he doing aboutt the stinking creek in Colva. What can he do about the stray dog menace there too.
what is the use of re-cycling bins in Betalbatim, which are never emptied.I guess this is his landmark.
There are many uses for his HUMMER.Waste collection could be one use.
I wonder where he has hidden his USA Green CARD.It may come in handy considering,he is no longer making any headway in his ambitions.
I would highly recomend he goes back to his roots and become a Tailor. There is always a demand for new clothes in Goa,with all the Feasts, weddings,Christenings etc.
He could also start a Business in Wheelchairs .
