BJP calls Sudin corrupt, demands his sacking and CBI probe

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party appears to have been creating a backgrounder to strip Sudin Dhawalikar of one of his portfolio – PWD or transport.
The Taleigao unit of the ruling party has demanded that Dhawalikar be sacked and inquiry be conducted to find corruption links between him and the transport department officials.
The crime branch had recently caught red handed a peon, linked to the office of transport director, accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh.
Taleigao BJP chief Dattaprasad Naik has even demanded a CBI inquiry into the whole incident.
This is the first time senior coalition partner has come out so vehemently against its own junior partner – the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, led by Dhawalikar brothers.
“People voted BJP to power by throwing out corrupt Congress. The MGP was a partner of the corrupt Congress and continue the same corrupt deeds here”, Naik observed, now, after the coalition ruled for three-and-a-half years.
He also said the MGP could get three seats in the last election only because of the coalition it had formed with the BJP.
“But now they are roping into the BJP bastions like Valpoi while neglecting development in constituencies like Taleigao”, Naik felt.
According to Naik, Dhawalikar is deliberately creating hardships for the people of Taleigao, by delaying road repairs as well as streamlining water supply and sewerage.
“Sudin Dhawalikar is not following the coalition dharma, but busy strengthening his own base in BJP bastions”, alleged Naik, at a press conference today.
He even went to the extent of blaming Dhawalikar’s third brother, PWD executive engineer Dilip Dhawalikar and even demanded an inquiry into the sewerage project of Taleigao, from consultancy to tendering.
He said Dhawalikar has kept on setting new deadlines for road repairs in Taleigao – January, then March, then April and then June – while no work has begun till date while Chovoth festival is hardly a fortnight ahead.
The BJP has now also discovered that PWD and transport are the most inefficient and corrupt departments among all, handled by Sudin Dhawalikar.
“If he continues such treatment to our strongholds like Taleigao, I will not hesitate to go and unfurl the BJP flag in Marcaim”, announced Naik.
Dhawalikar is the MLA of Marcaim.
