Govt finally allows migrants to go back home, provided….

GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 29 April 2020 19:46 IST

Very good news for Indians stranded in other states, away from home, including migrant labourers. Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a fresh guideline today, directing all the states to send them back home.

They include migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded in different states.

But there is a proviso. It could happen only if both the states mutually agree to it. And then they should be moved by road.

People who want to go back would be then screened and only those having no symptoms of COVID 19 would be allowed to go.

They would be transported after sanitising buses and maintaining physical distancing.

Once they reach the home state, they would be once again screened by the local health authorities and decide whether they require institutional or health quarantine.

They have been also advised to download Arogya Setu app.

Mostly migrants & working class ppl are uneducated. They need help from some literate ppl. Has to think through that angle too.
