Lyndon turns against Mickky, opposes merger, plans to contest

At one time, it was Mickky Pacheco turning against his leader Churchill Alemao in Benaulim. Now, it is Lyndon Monteiro turning against his one-time ministerial boss Mickky, perhaps in Nuvem.
As a first step, Lyndon has strongly opposed Mickky’s move to merge Goa Vikas Party into the United Goans Democratic Party.
Singing praises of the BJP-led coalition government, the Goa Meat Complex chairman wants to take ahead the party, without Mickky as well as Benaulim MLA Caitu Silva.
Caitu has once again confirmed that he would contest as an independent, quitting the party by month end.
“I have nothing personal against Mickky. But ideologically, I am not with him. We are still bigger than the UGDP”, claims Lyndon.
He also does not rule out the possibility of contesting election, “if party tells me”.
The party actually was dominated by Mickky through his president wife Viola and general secretary Lyndon.
Once Mickky and Viola quit, Lyndon is bound to be the party supremo.
With the GMC chairman singing praises of the BJP, it is clear that the GVP would continue to be the front of the BJP in Salcete.
“The general secretary got the post of GMC chairman. What did Mickky get?”, asks Caitu sarcastically.
