Prove me guilty, challenges Vishwajeet

Former agriculture and health minister Vishwajeet Rane has challenged to prove him guilty in the so called recruitment scandal termed by the chief minister.

Calling it a recruitment scandal, chief minister Manohar Parrikar had said it is a fit case to go to jail like Chautala, without taking Vishwajeet’s name.

Vishwajeet however reacted in the evening to the morning debate in the Assembly, as he was not present in the House today.

“Let the government complete the inquiry in 30 days. I am prepared for any inquiry”, he told goanews.com today evening.

According to him, the selected candidates were bound to be more from Sattari since maximum applications were from Sattari.

He also claimed that the selection was made by the DPC selection committee and not him personally.

“If the selection committee was at fault, then why is the chief minister continuing with the same committee members in agriculture department and recruiting more people”, asked Vishwajeet.

He termed the allegation as an eye wash and also demanded that the officers responsible be suspended if they had manipulated the recruitment process.

The Valpoi MLA also alleged that Parrikar was trying to divert the attention of the people since he has failed as the agriculture minister.

“I will reply to all the charges during the debate on agriculture”, he said.
