Parsekar's brother-in-law caught taking bribe; "I won't interfere": CM

Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested Dilip Malwankar, brother-in-law of chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh.
Parsekar told goanews.com that he will not interfere in the matter.
Along with Alwankar, Ajit Gaunekar, another colleague of his working in the Goa Industrial Development Corporation was also arrested.
Both of them were allegedly harassing Jaipur-based industrialist Sanjay Kumawat, who had been allotted an industrial plot to manufacture Ayurvedic medicines at Tuem Industrial Estate.
The team of ACB was led by SP Bosco George, who was recently awarded with President's Award on the Independence Day.
He said it makes no difference if he is related to CM and they never bothered to find out this fact.
"But let me tell you. I have not received any call from CM or anybody from top in this regard", said SP George.
Parsekar, when contacted, also said he had not interfered in the matter.
“I can’t keep a track of what my relatives do. I consider everybody equal in front of law. Let law take its own course”, Parsekar said.
Malwankar works as field manager at Tuem while Gaunekar is the field manager in Panaji at GIDC.
Based on a complaint filed by Kumawat, the ACB laid a trap and caught Malwankar red handed while accepting the bribe.
Sources confirmed that Malwankar is brother-in-law of the chief ministers. Wives of both them are sisters. In Goa, they are called Saadu (साडू).
According to information gathered, Kumawat was allotted the plot in 2012 but both the officers were creating hurdles in giving the possession of the land.
