Youth with red bacon car arrested in Anjuna

Five youths from Haryana and Delhi were arrested yesterday for misusing red beacon car in Goa, posing to be a minister.

They came holidaying to usher in the New Year, police said today, in two cars, one of which had a red bacon. 

Bhavesh Yadav, one of them, is the son of former Haryana MP Rajesh Yadav. 

"Bhavesh Yadav claimed to be a Member of Legislative Assembly but failed to produce proof," the officer said.

The youths--Bhavesh Yadav, Yatendra Rao, Siddharth Yadav (from Delhi) Gautam Rathod and Hariom Khowa -- were arrested here yesterday by Anjuna police.

They also impounded the Haryana registered car on which the beacon was installed, a senior official said. 

During investigations, the youths, however, confessed that they were impersonating as VVIPs to get clearance on roads.

The police however suspected because all the people sitting in both the cars were youngsters.
