FIR filed but no arrest in mid-day meal poisoning

Ponda police have filed FIR against two self-help groups for supplying adulterated mid-day meal to a school in Usgao in Ponda taluka, which has affected 23 students.

Police however have not arrested any person in the case.

The FIR has been filed against Ramdas Naik of Kapileshwari SHG and Teja Shankar of Shivbaba SHG, both from Ponda taluka.

Almost 23 students of Church-run high school in Usgao in Ponda taluka had to be hospitalised yesterday morning due to food poisoning through mid-day meal.

Fr. Felix Lobo, manager of St Joseph High School of Usgao had filed a police complaint in this regard.

 

This is a second case within a month, as earlier almost 80 students had fallen sick due to food poisoning after consuming cooked midday meal in Canacona.

The school children, after complaining about uneasiness, were referred to a government hospital at Ponda.

All the children were sent home by evening after treating them for food poisoning.

Education department officials have already started investigating into the case.

A report would be submitted to the government as soon as possible, said a government official.

If Mid-Day meals has these much casualties then how much casualties will have after Full-Day meals starts. Goans must say no to Food Security Bill. Instead of Food, Government must give one thousand rupees as food allowance to all Goans.

The abbreviation F.I.R was meant to be a shortened version of : First Information Report.

However going by current statistics and a high volume of Cases being thrown out by Courts or receiving acquittals...I would suggest Goan Citizens to from now On interpret this abbreviation as : FARCICAL INFORMATION REPORT" or "FAKE INFORMATION. REPORTS".

Goa Police, known to be the richest in the world through collection of Haftas ,which is one of their job or professional perks, are actually trained to be proficient in preparing " FICTITIOUS INFORMATION REPORTS".

Their training of preparing such "Fictitious " reports advises them of their "PERSONAL COST BENEFITS".

I personally do not expect much to come out of this FIR.

All I am expecting is for some more "TRADITIONAL LIP SERVICE" from Politicians.

it seems like Mr Parrikar has a lot of "Special Deliveries to make "before Diwali".

He has promised to file FIRS against several ex-Congress Ministers(MLA`s) for their involvement in various scams & graft.

Today he has promised to resolve the School Food Poisoning cases, "before Diwali",m yet again.

Now I am not sure how many other Deliveries has will be making.

However being Prudent, and going by his previous promises of appointing a Lokayukta in 100 days and appointing a Chief Info. Commissioner and State Info. Commissioner, Re-/tarting Mining & getting the Police-Politician Drug Nexus cases resolved... I would delay this and rephrase his utterances to "Before Christmas".

I guess Mr Parrikar after Diwali, will have no other option than to claim everything will be done/resolved by/before Christmas.

after Christmas everything will be resolved by Easter & so on and so forth.

I await his new belated declarations.

Strangely, Mr Parrikar will also be ready to advise every Goan, that the Press & media have "mis-interpreted him or taken his promises/declarations/utterances out of context.
