Goan entrepreneurs from hospitality and agricultural sector would visit Israel next month, to study their models of rural tourism and dairy farming.

The Israeli government has invited Goan entrepreneurs in exchange to the Israeli delegation that had visited Goa last year.

The initiative in this regard was taken by the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Outgoing GCCI president Mangirish Pai Raikar told the media that the delegation from the concerned sectors would study the Israeli models.

He also did not rule out the possibility of singing an agreement, if possible, especially in the field of dairy farming.

The Israeli model of rural tourism, said Raikar, is fully self-sustaining with locals benefiting from the industry by exploiting local talent and infrastructure.

It includes green tourism, heritage tourism, adventure tourism as well as leisure tourism, which has lots of scope in Goa, if utilized in a proper manner, he feels.

Raikar also informed the media that a delegation of travel agents from Italy would be visiting Goa in October to study the tourism model of Goa.
