Janlokpal draft was stolen: Shantaram
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 19 September 2011 20:20 IST
Goa’s Rajya Sabha MP has alleged that Arvind Kejariwal and Prashant Bhushan have stolen the draft of Janlokpal bill from a prominent NGO.
Naik is one of the members of the standing committee of the Parliament that would decide the fate of Lokpal bill.
The Congress MP has made the allegation in a Head On programme, telecast tonight on Prudent, a TV channel.
“They may have a clean image. But their objective is doubtful”, said Naik while talking to Pramod Acharya, the news editor of Prudent.
Naik also alleged that the duo used Anna Hazare as a front to promote the Lokpal draft.
He also feels that the agitation for Janlokpal bill tried to degrade the image of Parliament.
The standing committee member however is confident that they would prepare the best possible legislation, based on several proposals and recommendations they would hear to.
“At least five to six NGOs and even Adv Harish Salve are going to make valid suggestions”, he informed Prudent.
