Female deaths rising, below 51 reducing

The Covid19 death rate among females has started slowly rising in the month of October, though the rate of deaths below the age of 51 seems to be reduced compared to last month.
Since the first death occurred on 22nd June due to Covid19, the number has now reached 511. In the last 12 days of October, 82 Goans have succumbed to the deadly virus.
Among these, 29 are females and 53 are males. It’s 35 percent versus 65 percent.
In all 30 days of September, however, this death rate was 27 percent females and 73 percent males. Total of 64 females and 170 males.
Also in September, 52 people till the age group of 50 had succumbed to Covid19, which is 22 percent of the total deaths. It included quite a big number below 40 years. 11 people between the age group of 31 to 40 and nine people up to the age of 30.
But in the last 12 days, Goa has lost comparatively less number of Goans in these age groups. The total deaths occurred until the age of 50 is 13, which is only 16 percent. And below 41 are only three, including an eight-month-old baby girl.
More and more senior citizens, above 60 are however dying due to Covid19. While we lost 140 lives (60%) in this age group last month, 51 senior citizens (62%) succumbed to Covid19, nearly one-third of the last month, within 12 days.
