Three more young lives have succumbed to Covid19 in the last three days. And five have died of Covid without having any comorbidity this month.
With four more deaths reported today, out of which one died yesterday, the death toll since 22nd June has reached 460.
This is not the first time young people have succumbed to Covid19 in Goa. In fact nearly 100 (94 to be precise) have died in the age group of 12 to 50, to date. But this was not a every-day feature.
However, in the last three days, every day one young person is dying - two young males aged 45 and 40 and a 45-year old female.
A 45-year old male from Bicholim, who died on Saturday after struggling for 13 days, was diabetic and had a high blood pressure.
A 40-year old youngster from Usgao, who died today afternoon, was also diabetic and was suffering with renal calculus disease.
FIVE HAD NO COMORBIDITY
But the young lady from Salvador de Mundo did not have any comorbidity. She was brought to the hospital on Friday morning with respiratory problems and breathed her last yesterday.
Four more Covid19 patients, though aged, also did not have any comorbidity.
A 73-year old male from Sanguem was brought to the hospital gasping on 29th September and died of bilateral Covid19 pneumonia on 1st October.
In the next two days, two males from Taleigao died without having any comorbidity, a 55-year old on the 1st and 59-year old on the 3rd.
Within five days of this month, 31 people have succumbed to Covid19, with a month beginning with 13 deaths in a day.
But the number has now come down, four, six, five and three (till the afternoon today) in the last four days. It is also less compared to the last two months.
Tiswadi tops the list with seven deaths, followed by six in Bardez, five in Ponda, four each in Salcete and Quepem, two in Canacona and one each in Mormugao, Bicholim and Sanguem.
