Covid hits cities once again, one third samples tested positive

Covid cases have started rising once again in the towns, but rural scenario is not a relief. Every day the number is competing with the previous number of daily cases. Now, today, 636 positive cases are reported from 1864 samples tested, a one third.
As usual, Directorate of Health Services continued keeping Goans in dark about exact number of fresh cases reported at each health centre. The health bulletin could provide a number of only 434 fresh cases. It’s not known at which centres 202 more cases are reported.
From among this incomplete data, Porvorim is now topping the list with 46 (228 positive right now) new cases in a day, followed by 34 (334) more cases in Ponda and 29 (185) in Panaji.
Cases have also once again started rising in Madgao. Though fresh 6 cases reported today, the central town of South Goa district is right now having the largest number of 439 positive cases.
In Vasco, 19 more cases were reported today with the number going up to 272. Mapusa also kept rising with 18 more to make it 203.
But rural centres are not far behind. To cite a few, topping is Pedne 28 (169), Valpoi 23 (136), Betki 20 (139), Sankhli 19 (222), Curchorem 19 (125) and Canacona 19 (104).
