Speaker, Dy Sp resign, House adjourned sine die

The Goa Assembly was adjourned sin die within minutes, with both speaker and the deputy speaker, belonging to the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party, resigning from the posts.
No trust vote was thus moved in favour of chief minister Pratapsing Rane.
The next moment he announced that he is also resigning in protest of the false allegations made against him by Governor S C Jamir, chief minister Pratapsing Rane as well as AICC general secretary Margaret Alva.
Satarkar referred to Jamir’s allegation of the speaker murdering democracy while Rane alleging of the speaker kidnapping deputy chief minister Philip Neri Rodrigues.
