Drugs problem in Goa not as complex as Punjab: Parsekar

Days after Punjab deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal said at Express Adda that though Goa is the easiest place to find drugs, Punjab is branded as the drug capital, Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekar said the drug menace in Goa is “not as complex as it is in Punjab”.
“People think they can freely use drugs here. This is not true. Last year alone, about 70 people were arrested and contraband worth Rs 10 crore were seized. This was thrice the amount of contraband seized in 2014. The drug menace in Goa is not as complex as it is in Punjab,” Parsekar said. CLICK TO READ MORE
