Will Tejpal be arrested at Delhi air port?
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 29 November 2013 12:58 IST

Will rape accused Tarun Tejpal be arrested at the Delhi air port by the police? Because the Goa police claims that they have not received any intimation from the court granting interim relief to Tejpal.
After the application for anticipatory bail was moved to the Panaji Sessions Court today morning, Tejpal’s Delhi-based lawyer Geeta Luthra came out of the court premises and told the media that Tejpal has been granted interim relief.
“The matter of bail application will be heard at 2.30 pm. Till then he has been granted interim relief”, said Adv Luthra.
It means Tejpal cannot be arrested until the application of anticipatory bail is heard.
The police sources however claim that they are not aware of any such interim relief and no court notice in this regard they received till ‘now’.
On the other hand, reports reaching here indicate that Tejpal is leaving for Goa on Indigo flight at 2.30 pm, to reach Goa in two hours.
He would be accompanied by five others and expected to arrive at the Delhi air port by 1.30 pm.
Adv Luthra also confirmed that he would appear before the police by today evening as assured earlier.
“Tejpal has been co-operating with the police”, she said.
However, if the police do not receive any notice from the court regarding the interim relief, they would be free to arrest him at the Delhi air port itself.
