"I am neither Tejpal's uncle nor have stakes in Tehelka": Kapil

Union law minister Kapil Sibal today slammed rumours that Tarun Tejpal’s mother was his sister and said he did not own a single share in Tehelka.

Speaking to reporters, Sibal said, "I have only one sister Asha Nanda and she stays in Maharani Bagh. Tarun Tejpal is not my nephew."

"I understand that the RSS has a lifelong patent on lies, but the Leader of Opposition seems to have taken a license from their patent", said Sibal.

Sibal refuted charges by the BJP saying, "I don’t have a single share in Tehelka.”

He also said that such a sensitive issue involving a young girl should not be politicised.

The BJP-Congress slugfest continues over the Tehelka scandal with senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj alleging that the Congress party was shielding Tejpal.

“Union Cabinet Minister who is the founder and patron of Tehelka is shielding Tarun Tejpal,” she tweeted, refraining from naming the minister.

Swaraj, without naming directly, was referring to Sibal.
