Shetye said that many celebrities including Farhan Akhtar, Kiran Rao, Mahesh Manjrekar, Gauri Shinde, Sachin Khedekar, Sonali Kulkarni, Milind Soman, Smita Tambe, Shradha Marathe, Subodh Bhave, Kishori Shahane, Sandip Kulkarni, Manava Naik, Saie Tamhankar and others would be participating in the festival.
"Around 15 carefully selected films would be screened during the festival," he said.
According to Dnyanesh Moghe, a Konkani film director and GMFF organizer, Marathi movie "Postcard" by Gajendra Ahire would be premiered during the festival.
The organizers claim that they have invited bollywood veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, wife Jaya and Akshay Kumar to inaugurate the festival, but they are yet to confirm their presence.
