2 Delhi thieves are history sheeters

Police has identified two among the five thieves chased and nabbed are known criminals from Delhi.

The rest two, except one woman, are rickshaw drivers.

Panaji DySP Umesh Gaonkar told media persons that Ramesh Kumar and Ramesh Baisakhi Rao have been confirmed to be history sheeters.

After series of robberies were reported in Goa this week, the Panaji police managed to chase the gang from Taleigao and catch them successfully near Raj Bhavan.

According to Gaonkar, the gang came to Goa by train on 6 July and they stayed in a rented room in Margao for one day.

While hiring also a car, the gang then started robbing in Panaji and surrounding areas.

“They are still giving different versions and our investigation is one”, said Gaonkar.

Meanwhile, DGP Kishan Kumar has announced a reward for all the policemen who were part of the chase and catch operation.
