Maharashtra Doc nabbed in Goa for killing servant

Goa Police today arrested a doctor and his wife who are accused of murdering an employee and absconding from Bhandara district of Maharashtra.

Dhananjay Lalji Tawde (36), an ayurvedic doctor based in Sakholi village in Bhandara district of Maharashtra, and Rajini Logade (23), a nurse who worked in his clinic, absconded after allegedly killing Mureshwar Nandeshwar.

After the murder and flight from the village, they got married at Tirupati, police said.

Goa police arrested them here from a hotel, following an alert from Maharashtra police that mobile phone records of the couple showed them to be somewhere in Panaji.

Police Inspector Rajendra Prabhudesai said motive behind the murder was not yet known.

After the murder, the couple first went to Tirupati and later to Hubli, where they left their Maruti car near the railway station.

They would be soon handed over to Maharashtra police.
