CBI plans to dig deeper into drugs racket

A day after arresting five Goa Police Constables for allegedly planting drugs on an Israeli national during his arrest in 2010, the Central agency plans to dig deeper into the racket.

The Constables, then attached to Anti-Narcotics Cell, were arrested yesterday for planting drugs on Israeli national David Driham alias Dudu.

Sub-Inspector Sunil Guddlar was arrested in connection with the same offence a few days back.

Deputy Inspector General (CBI) Pravinkumar Salunke today told reporters that investigations are aimed at exposing bigger nexus in which a particular police team was fabricating drug cases against people and arresting them.

The five Constables and the PSI were part of a team that conducted a raid on Dudu in 2010 and claimed to have seized a cocktail of drugs from him.

The foreign national had denied the charge and alleged the drugs were planted on him by a team of the Anti-Narcotics Cell.

The investigation records of the ANC in the Dudu case was not satisfactory, Salunke said. "We will have to find out why they fabricated the case against Dudu."

The probe will focus on why policemen were involved in such illegal acts, the DIG stated.

Since PI Nolasco Raposo has taken over Calangute Police Station once again, arrests for Drugs, theiving, burglaries and prostitition are now being made on a daily/weekly basis. This indicates that the previous MLA Agnelo Fernandes in cahoots with Ravi Naik were deeply buried & involved in criminal activity and worse still, politically interfering in the day to day affairs of of Police Stations. If all roads lead to Rome, than most Drug,Matka &,Prostitution crimes in Goa must lead to the Ex Home Minister.

The Congress Party was operated like a Mafia Organisation

Drugs are available every where in the whole world especially touristic places same like Goa and other places. After so many years of congress rule in goa ex home minister had confirmed that there are no drugs in goa, if so than how these cops were involved. Most cases you talk about drugs , curruption or any illegal activities are done with the blessing of the concerned minister. CBI have to make sure the ex home minister should be questioned for his various links which were exposed thru press by the drug dealer. Drugs are not grown in goa they are brought in to Goa from outside so it is the duty of the current govt to keep a check on all the entires to goa such as airport, goa borders and railway stations than only drugs can be controlled.before it goes to wrong hands and destroyed our goan youth. .

Portuguese police were far better than these police of liberated Goa. They were never involved in such illegal and corrupt activities.Even if they did anything bad it was under pressure of dictatorship.

It is not just these 5 Police men, that have been planting drugs and demanding money from Tourists, both Indian and Foreign.

All Goa Police personell, delegated to work at Tourist resorts & attractions like Colva & Calangute & other Beaches, have been doing this for years.
