Kabrastan & Cemetery desecrated in Curchorem

GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 11 March 2012 18:22 IST

Curchorem town witnessed a shameful act of desecrating a Kabrastan and a Christian cemetery, situated on a hillock of Pantemoll, little away from the main town.

Some locals, who visited the cemetery today, witnessed that name plates of over 100 tombs in both the Kabrastan and the Cemetery were damaged by some miscreants.

The police immediately rushed to the spot and started conducting investigation into the incident.

This is the first incident after chief minister Manohar Parrikar took over as the chief minister.

Series of such incidents had taken place, in a similar manner, during the tenure of Digambar Kamat, heading the Congress-led government.

In fact these incidents had led to movement led by Mandir Suraksha Samiti in the state, initiated by some Hindu organizations.

Even if this incident is considered to be the possibility to counter this background in a crude manner, the Curchorem town did not react in haste but preferred to remain silent.

The government in the meanwhile has announced an award of Rs 50,000 to those who come forward to provide any clue in this regard.

Where are those responsible to protect our religion. Priest are always

feel or ignored busy keeping aside their church assignment and occupy some other jobs. Thier first top and most job to attend and serve the community in time and with franckly. Several instance I have visited church for some personal documentation but

priset act they are fully occupied other job which is not their church job assisgnment. Ignored the people ask them to come later, They must first serve people with top priority if not what is the use being a priest, which

are not delivered in time,. One who reconcile between

priests and government servants no diffeence you

find the way their position. This ia how our religion

get day by day in trouble and one day we will face

worse then this incident. We humbly request head

of the church put things in better place correct and

instruct priests to follow the christ teaching and serve

and give valuable time to the human being. Do not be

proud and ignore them. Your are the priesta and not

politicians.

These is the last thing a person could do to put a division between communities. Believe me WE ARE INDIANS ,we have some genetic relation though we follow different religion we should be educated enough to know our genetic relation.

With the recent trouble created in 3 places after the whitewash of Congress/NCP it proves beyond doubt the motives behind all this and which party is involved now and also in past in the name of secular. Congress party and their supporters where doing all these problems against religeous places so that the BJP image get tarnished. Its shame that we have goondas still active inspite of the defeats in the elections. I hope police will catch them and punish in such a way that other people will take note of this.

I BELIEVE THESE ACTS ARE CARRIED OUT BY CONGRESS LEADERS & THEIR SUPPORTERS IN ORDER TO MALIGN BJP. BJP SHOWED THAT IT IS NOT COMMUNAL PARTY BY ALSO GIVING TICKETS TO CATHOLIC CANDIDATES & MOST OF THEM HAVE COME OUT WITH THUMPING MAJORITY. SHAME ON CONGRESS LEADERS.

IF ONE HAS TO MAKE QUICK MONEY, JOIN CONGRESS & BE CROOKS AS THEY ARE. ALL THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THE RECENT ELECTION SHOULD GO & HANG THEMSELVES. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THOSE FEW ELECTED ARE NON-CORRUPT. i WISHED ENTIRE CONGRESS CANDIDATES HAD LOST THE ELECTION.

WITH ALL THAT I HAVE MENTIONED, IT IS NOT THAT AM A POLITICIAN BUT, I CONDEMN CORRUPTION & CROOKS, WHO ARE ALL IN CONGRESS PARTY.

Strangely enough, lot of religious desecrations have been happening around since the new government has taken over.

These antisocial miscreants must be caught immediately before things get worse and sends wrong signals about the BJP government, though the government has nothing to do with it.

The BJP has come to fore with a new image on Anti-corruption, Development, and Good Governance and not for their "Hindutva Movement" which has been mostly rejected in the country.

We need to keep our eyes and ears wide open to closely watch the strong undercurrent which the Sangh Parivar will be exerting on the government as some of them are alumni of these radical organizations.

Save.......Goa, Gomanta, Gomanchala, Gopakapattam, Gopakapuri, Govapuri, Govem, and Gomantak.

All such activities aimed at creating hate among different communities- peacefully co-existing here for centuries---needs to be dealt with a very heavy hand...Let the guilty be punished irrespective of who it is...
