Cong shouldn't interefere with NCP affairs: Sirsat

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Goa today said that Congress should allow them to take the decisions without interfering in their affairs.
“We should be allowed to take our own decisions and Congress should not interfere in them,” NCP’s Goa unit President Surendra Sirsat reacted today.
Sirsat was commenting on Congress’ decision to keep on hold induction of NCP legislator Fransisco Mickey Pacheco in the cabinet claiming that he has a murder case filed against him.
“Induction of Pacheco in the cabinet was NCP’s decision. Congress should honour it,” Sirsat said.
NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, last week, had asked Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat to induct Pacheco in the cabinet, which had triggered political turmoil in the state. A group of Congress dissidents had warned to pull down the government.
All India Congress Committee General Secretary B K Hariprasad after meeting the dissident legislators today had said that it would be problematic if Pacheco is inducted in the cabinet.
Sirsat said that the party stands by its demand to induct Pacheco in the cabinet. “Since Hariprasad has said that he will take up the matter with our High Command, we will wait for the communication from NCP bosses,” he said.
