Tourism industry players in Goa have demanded that policemen involved with drug mafia in the state should be nailed to protect the future of this industry.

"We must give clear signal to people worldwide that Goa is serious when it comes to dealing with drugs, and we don't even spare policemen, if they are involved," Ralph De Souza, president, Travel Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) told PTI.

He said cases related to policemen involved with drug peddler should be investigated properly and entire link should be dismantled.
"This will send a strong message to the world that such things are not welcomed in Goa," De Souza said.

Crime branch is probing the nexus of policemen with Israeli drug peddlers Yaniv Benaim alias Atala and David Driham alias Dudu.
Seven policemen were arrested for their alleged link with drug peddlers resulting into the entire audit of functioning of Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC).

De Souza said things would have been worse for the industry, if king-pins in this trade were not caught.

He said Goa police themselves should do thorough investigation in this case, which will help solving various problems ailing the tourism industry.

That is where in democracy people should also have right to re-call a elected member so that free and fair trial can take place.

1) Why was Nerlon Albuquerque dismissed without second thought for his faulty investigation of Scarlet Keeling case as per the Government of Goa.?

2) Why is Ashish Shirodkar and his gang of Cops still under suspension and not dismissed for such a big and grave crime?

3) As per Mr. Parrikar’s say and the public say Why is Chandrakant Salgaoncar not suspended first as his investigation is still dilly dallying?

"Don't spare mafia cops" every one is saying that with loud voice in Goa but question is WHO will take action and AGAINST WHOM.

As Mr. Vishwas rightly said, what about the real players behind the curtains. Can police take action against them? or does Goa police has freedom to do full investigation .

what about the real players behind the curtains?

It is difficult for the police alone to get associated with any crime unless the corrupt politicians are behind them to back them in the form of Godfathers and who are the real beneficiaries!
