Goa on Wednesday sent a detailed report to the centre, on the nine-year old Russian girl rape case.

''I had received a call from union tourism minister Kumari Selja. She asked for a detailed report on the issue,'' state chief minister Digamber Kamat told PTI this morning.

Accordingly, the chief secretary, who is also a home secretary, has compiled a detailed report and sent to the centre, said Kamat.

Goa reported a case of a rape on nine-year old Russian girl on 26 January by an unidentified person.

This was the second rape on a Russian tourist in last two months in the state while another case of attempt to rape on two more Russian girls was registered on Christmas day.

Union tourism minister has insisted for clean tourism in the country. After she asked for a report, Russian embassy had also expressed its disgust over the incident.

The embassy had said that it will have to refrain its citizens from visiting Goa, if such incidents do not stop.
