Wagh's eyelid movement creates revival hope, test positive

There is a hope of deputy speaker Vishnu Waghs condition reviving back to normal.
According to Kala Academy vice chairman Sushant Khedekar, who was camping at Hinduja hospital in Mumbai, doctors have said that Wagh has started responding to the treatment.
“There was one test conducted in the evening today, which has come positive”, Khedekar told goanews.com.
He also said that doctors in the ICU observed eyelid movement of Wagh today, which has created a big hope.
The St Andre MLA was airlifted to Hinduja hospital in Mumbai on 18th August in a critical condition after he suffered a cardiac arrest on 15th August.
While he is being treated by a team of India’s top experts in neurology and cardiology, rumours however continued spreading on mobile and social media that Wagh had expired.
The rumours have now also taken political turn, stating that the announcement of his expiry was postponed due to BJP president Amit Shah’s visit to Goa today.
Yet another speculation said that the announcement of his death has been postponed till 30th August by keeping him on life support and shifting him to Mumbai, against the wishes of his family members.
This rumour is being justified, stating that St Andre need not go for bye election within six months if the announcement is delayed as next Assembly election is scheduled on 30th March.
In reality, the term of the Goa Assembly ends in the first week of March and the Election Commission of India has already annoucned to hold polls by mid-January, hardly five months ahead.
Reacting to this post, Wagh’s younger brother Dr Ramarao Wagh sent a counter post as follows:
“I was also present as his younger brother right from 8 am in GMC with doctors and dean and when CM conducted the high level meeting and decision was taken on pure professional advice of all GMC heads as well as in consultation with top well known medical professional from Goa and doctors of Hinduja. I have been with the officials and doctors, who monitored the whole logistical operation to shift him. There was no such setting and dealing as alleged in this post.”
