Controversial Goa legislator Babush Monserrate has been charged with buying a young Nepalese girl and raping her a few weeks ago.
Sources in Goa have told NDTV the lawmaker, who is an independent, has been booked for human trafficking. He has denied the accusations; the police says he is likely to be arrested soon.
