Rupee hits highest point of 2016; 3 factors aiding this rise

The rupee hit the high point of calendar 2016 against the US dollar, wiping off its yearly losses in Monday's trade ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's first bimonthly policy review of the new financial year on Tuesday.
At 10:02 am, the domestic currency hit a four-month high, appreciating 12 paise to trade at 66.07 against the greenback.
