Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, who had to leave her speech in the state Assembly half-way due to ill health, today said she suffered from "excessive sweating."

"While reading the text, due to excessive sweating and standing for a long time for 50 minutes, she could not complete the last three paras of the speech," said a press note released by Raj Bhavan here.

Sinha was forced to leave the House midway as she took ill while addressing the Assembly session yesterday.

"After returning to Raj Bhavan from the Assembly yesterday, the Governor attended to her regular schedule of engagements. She met all those who were given appointments," it said.

As per her regular schedule, she also wrote two articles in Hindi - one last evening and another today morning.

She cleared two government files relating to Assembly matters this morning and met Rear Admiral Balvinder Singh Parhar, Flag Officer Commanding, Goa Area, who called on her, Raj Bhavan officials said.

The Governor has expressed her appreciation over the decorum and silence with which the members of the House listened to her address. She is also thankful to all the well wishers, who worried and enquired about her health, they said.
