Goa on red alert, security beefed up

After a red alert from Intelligence Bureau (IB) to Goa and Bangalore, the Goa police have beefed up security in all sensitive areas, tourist places, bus stands and railway stations in the state.
North Goa Superintendent of Police Priyanka Kashyap confirmed the development and added that security cover for Chief Minister and other Ministers has also been increased.
The official also said Chabad House at Harmal and Anjuna, the Israeli prayer house, and Alliance Francaise in Panaji have received threat calls.
Police personnel have been deployed for the protection of Chabad House, while a small force has been posted at Alliance Francaise.
