Goa BJP to make ministers' report cards public

The 'performance review' of the BJP-led Manohar Parrikar government in Goa will be made public, if serious lapses are found, the BJP announced here today.

"If there are serious lapses on the part of the minister which we come across, we will surely make it public. But trivial lapses won't be publicised," BJP's Goa spokesman Wilfred Mesquita told reporters.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has assured a "mid-term performance review" of all his ministers by September this year and promised "minor corrections" to the cabinet, if necessary, after the review.

Mesquita said that the review is being done to "find out weaknesses" in the government.

"There are weaknesses in every sphere. We need to find them and correct them," the spokesman said.

Responding to a question, he said that aspects like criminal chargesheets against ministers would also be considered while reviewing their performance.

Taking a dig at the Congress party's recent decision to prepare a chargesheet against the Manohar Parrikar-led BJP government to point out to its flaws, Mesquita said, "Congress has been chargesheeted and punished by the people during the 2012 Goa elections and recent Lok Sabha polls. The people of Goa endorsed BJP's performance when they voted for both the candidates in the Lok Sabha election".

Will the Report Card include the increase in all MLA`s Financial Assets ,including all properties owned?

I guess Mr Dilip Parulekar ,Tourism Minister will top this list and get a distinction.

Will the Report Card tell us how much "Duty Free" goods MLA`s have purchased on their Junkets abroad at Goan Tax Payers expense?

Once again I must state the Tourism Minister will get a distinction on this, too.

I am sure the report will not tell us how Goans & Goa have benefitted from all the trips of MLA`s abroad.

Finally I guess Mr Parrikar( The Headmaster/Principal) , in his usual "empty promises style" will claim, that the Report he has overseen & prepared will be "World Class or "State of the Art".!! Great words from the CM...but no proof or delivery of it as yet.

Well, lets us await the repost from the Master of "State of the Art & World Class U-TURNS.

This could be the best "Comedy Tiatr" performed by Goa`s ace, best known & world famous Tiartist, "Parrikar de Panaji"

I am sure Goa`s Ace Chief Guest ,Churchill Alemao and Guest of Honour Valanka Alemao must be eagerly awaiting in anticipation.
