Parrikar regrets over media remarks

Chief Manohar Manohar Parrikar has expressed regrets for his recent controversial remarks regarding the media.

In an official letter written to the president of the Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ), Parrikar said: “I did not mean to demean anybody nor was it my intention to cast aspersion on any person, leave alone a media person. I express my regret if the incident has hurt anyone’s feelings.”

GUJ has accordingly withdrawn its protest by wearing black armbands while covering the ongoing Assembly session.

Further, said GUJ president Kishor Naik Gaonkar, the media organisation also expects that chief minister to come down hard on the menace of paid news by cracking down on the specific instances, investigate and take the inquiry to its logical conclusion.

 

Paid news is an issue of grave concern among the media fraternity all over India. The chief minister now has an opportunity to set a precedent as a head of state by acting against paid news which is tarnishing the image of the profession as a whole, stated Naik Gaonkar.

He also expressed appreciation for the letter of regret and sincerely hoped that politicians across parties refrain from loosely accusing the media fraternity of indulging in paid news and casting baseless aspersions on journalists.

Manohar will NEVER apologize because he can NEVER be wrong.

He is the most perfect human being who can NEVER go wrong. Journalists in Goa should be happy that he regrets and accept this as his apology and continue to sing his praises. There is a section of so called journalists that is total sycophantic, whoever comes to the power.

Now it is the time to build a temple of Manohar because he is " Bhuto na Bhavishyati" personality.

Only human being born so far who can NEVER go wrong on any issue.

Goans must consider themselves to be lucky to have most perfect human being as their CM.

Journalists will forget the issue and continue with their lives. They have to accept the reality which His holiness Manohar expressed. The God can provide them employment of 25 K in his own paper or launch new publications with a noble intent of creating jobs. Long live Parrikar. You are a prophet and God who has landed up on the earth to help the hapless people to achieve MOKHSHA. All Goans must pray everyday and thank the almighty for having Manohar parrikar. He has turned Ga into a paradise during last 2 years.
