The judicial custody of Tehelka founder-editor Tarun Tejpal was extended by 10 days by a local court here today in the sexual assault case.
He was earlier remanded to 12-day judicial custody after his police remand had expired.
Judicial Magistrate First Class Kshama Joshi today extended his judicial custody by another 10 days.
The 50-year-old journalist was arrested on November 30 last year after his anticipatory bail was rejected in the sexual assault case.
Meanwhile, a district and sessions court today reserved its order on bail application of Tejpal till January 7 after hearing arguments from both the sides.
The woman journalist, employed with Tehelka, had accused Tejpal of sexually assaulting her twice on November 7 and 8 in Goa.
Tejpal has been booked under Section 354A (outraging the modesty of a woman) and 376 (2)(K) (custodial rape) of the IPC.
Tejpal is currently lodged in Sada sub-jail.
The victim has already told police in her statement that Tejpal had lured her into the elevator on two occasions against her wish.
The CCTV footage has been sourced from outside the lift.
