Michael escapes from jail 6th time

A notorious criminal, jailed for a series of robberies, escaped from the high security Central Jail at Aguada this morning, police said.
The accused, Michael Fernandes (27), fled from the jail this morning and a search is on to trace him, Inspector General (Prisons) Mihir Vardhan said.
Michael had earlier escaped from prisons more than five times and he had last fled in 2011 while being taken to hospital.
After escaping, he had committed a robbery and was arrested at Marcel village, 15 kms from here.
Superintendent of Police (North) Priyanka Kashyap said the entire area around Central Jail at Aguada, about 10 kms from here, is being combed.
"We are on the look-out for him," the SP said.
