No minister will be dropped: CM
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 05 July 2013 22:07 IST

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar has clarified that he would not drop any minister from the existing cabinet.
Parrikar has also made it clear that there could be cabinet reshuffle in terms of portfolios, but not the ministers.
A reported statement by Parrikar about possible ministerial reshuffle had created confusion, especially in the background of some disgruntled elements trying to topple the BJP government.
While talking to the media today, Parrikar said he has started evaluating ministerial performance by personally talking to them.
“I have begun the exercise from power minister Milind Naik. I will talk to each cabinet colleague of mine and then take a decision of reshuffling portfolios, if required”, said the chief minister.
While allotting them additional portfolios, Parrikar did not rule out the possibility of portfolio reshuffle.
However, while reacting to the news of attempts to topple his government, Parrikar expressed suspicion that the media could be spreading ‘paid news’ at the behest of some businessmen.
It could be an attempt to hide the misdeeds of the erstwhile Congress government while taking money from some businessmen, he said.
He claimed that all his party colleagues are united and there is no attempt being made to destabilise the BJP from within.
