Are Fonddekar experts only in sweeping & cooking?

Are Ponda people experts only as sweepers, dhobi and cooks? Why couldn’t government find more than one candidate for the post of Police Sub Inspector?

No; it is the recruitment done by former home minister Ravi Naik in the police department, from July 2009 to November 2011, during his tenure in the erstwhile Congress government.

“May be money was made for the big posts from outside Ponda and favours were made by recruiting others from within Ponda”, feels chief minister Manohar Parrikar.

All such things were revealed today during the question raised by BJP MLA Vishnu Wagh on the recruitment in the police department.

Parrikar informed the House that 945 candidates were recruited in the police department during this period.

“Why so much of weightage to Ponda alone”, asked Wagh.

“Because the home minister was Ponda MLA”, quipped Parrikar.

“And why 14 sweepers and only one PSI from Ponda”, asked Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar, who defeated Ravi in last Assembly election.

“Because perhaps money was made outside Ponda and favours in Ponda”, replied Parrikar.

Mamledar, a retired police officer, also pointed out to chief minister that most of the linemen recruited during Congress regime were from Loutolim (now Verna constituency), obviously referring to former power minister Aleixo Sequeira.

Wagh raised yet another query of what kind of test is conducted for the posts of dhobi, cook or the sweeper.

“I don’t know, but I fell sick four times in three weeks because of the cook I had through this recruitment. I then started ordering hotel food”, said Parrikar, while narrating his experience at official Altinho residence.

He then also assured that particular skills required for the post would be conducted and given more weight in future while selecting all such candidates and cook. like dhobi, sweeper

Considering all the scams, that are listed against Ravi Naik (& his sons too,) I hope Ravi Naik will have at least recruited an un-qualified Doctor( a quack) to attend to his chest pains & blood pressure, when he is being marched to a Jail.

This scum-bag ex MLA ,Ravi Naik,should be given hard labour when jailed.

Remember he has made a lot of people suffer & pity is no option.

HIs son Roy too, has been the "Angel of Death" for many youth ,living as Drug Zombies around Goa.

Roy Naik threatened defamation recently. Is Ravi going to do the same.?
