Goa to have 14 more Mamlatdars
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 13 March 2013 19:43 IST

Goa will have 14 new mamlatdars shortly, eight in the South and six in the North.
The cabinet today cleared altogether 128 posts for both the district collectorates.
It also includes 11 each aval karkoon (head clerks).
“The decision was take since the existing mamlatdars are overloaded and thus work is getting delayed”, said chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
In addition, the chief minister said he would also appoint additional mamlatdar in the bigger talukas of Salcete and Bardez.
“They would primarily handle law and order situation in these thickly populated and tourist-centric talukas”, said Parrikar.

I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK
I will not be surprised if these Posts are allocated to BJP supporters and one from Mr Parrikars Caste.
I doubt many Christians' or a Muslims will get the Posts`.
IN addition all these Mamlatdars must be "YES MAN".

A very welcome initiative by the CM.
I ony hope the new Mamlatdars will not be as corrupt as the current ones and all those under their command.
How about the Panchayats Mr C.M ?.
From my research and by what many people tell me, each and every Panchayat and those that administer its functioning, are corrupt to the bone.
If the PWD has been a "honeypot" for Churchill Alemao and Valanka Alemao, Colva Panchayat & all the Mega Projects there, has been the "Honeypot" for the Panches.
Rs2.5 crores for an NOC, from an ex-MLA, for his illegal Hotel in a CRZ zone is not a bad easy earner for the Panches.
No wonder it is in Administration.
An investigation into the super assets, obtained in super time, of one of the Panch Members, would reveal a few truths,
Would the CM dare investigate this scam?
