BJP failed in 28 areas completely: Cong

The opposition Congress has alleged that the BJP government, in last one year, has failed in 28 different areas to deliver the promises it made in its election manifesto.
On the occasion of Manohar Parrikar government completing one year today, a high level Congress delegation led by Goa PCC president Subhash Shirodkar submitted a “Fact sheet of Failure” in this regard to Governor Bharat Vir Wanchoo.
“The government has completely failed on all fronts to uphold many promises it made in its election manifesto as well as the budget presented last year”, said Shirodkar after returning from Raj Bhavan.
According to him, the voters got carried away in last year’s Assembly election with unrealistic promises the BJP made but have realised that they have been fooled.
On the front of mining, the Congress said the BJP took drastic step to cancel 96 operational mining leases, causing hardships to the mining-dependent people like truck owners, barge owners and operators as well as others.
This has given rise to the possibility of dangerous situation in the mining belt which may ultimately cause law and order problem, feels the opposition Congress just like what the ruling BJP feels.
The opposition party listed out several policies which are neither framed nor implemented, pertaining to agriculture, land acquisition as well as tourism.
They also highlighted the BJP’s failure to appoint Lokayukta within 100 days, scrapping of Regional Plan 2021, resolving evacuee property issue of Mayem as well as electronic ration cards.
What is promised and not provided is milk price to farmers at Rs 30 per litre, kerosene subsidy to fishermen at Rs 16 per litre and good price for cashew nuts, arecanut and sugarcane, said Congress leaders later at the press conference.
The Congress also made a serious charge of making panchayats dependent on the government for funding by abolishing house tax.
The delegation included Valpoi MLA Vishwajeet Rane, Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginald Lourenco, Ramakant Khalap, Youth Congress president Pratima Coutinho and others.
Opposition leader Pratapsing Rane signed but was conpicious with his absence, besides former chief minister Pratapsing Rane.

the current rulling party promissed moon and gave peanuts. On the contrary is trying to take away from us whatever we have including our bread and butter. This is our daily experiance. We do not need the opposion party to inform us these facts. What congress must look into is what the man in chair is going to do next. no one has understood what parrikar is doing on lokayukta. He is setting up inquisition. 1 yes man as lokayukta who will dance to his tune that is every illegal reoprt of atmaram nadkarni and a lot of people will be going from jail to bail. Unfortunately most of them are going to be innocent govt servents." 2013 is going to a year of massacre" parrikar has said on completion of 1 year. That means 2012 was nothing. You people have not understood him. Congress govt was collection of 5 chindhi chors. This man is fundamentally evil.
