Farmagudi to depict Shivaji's audio-visual history

Goa government is planning to develop the Farmagudi fort to depict inspiring life of Shivaji Maharaj.

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar, at the function to mark Shiv Jayant today at Farmagudi in Pond, declared that government would acquire land around Farmagudi fort.

“The whole area awould be developed with exhibits and audio visuals of the great ruler Shivaji Maharaj”, he said.

He earlier garlanded the statue of Shivaji Maharaj.

He was accompanied by Co-operation Minister Deepak Dhavlikar, keynote speaker Pandurang Balkavade, ZP Members Pornima Naik and Shaila Borkar and Bandora Deputy Sarpanch Ramchandra Naik.

Those present on the occasion included former minister Joildo Aguiar, former MLA Mohan Amshikar, Administrative Officer of Ponda Municipality, Narayan Navti, Freedom Fighter Rohidas Naik, Vice Chairperson of Bal Bhavan Ravindra Amonkar and director of information Swapnil Naik.  

The formal function was followed by a monologue and quiz competitions based on life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, presented by school and college students.

Government of Goa under Mr. Parikkar regime not very

much friendly with goans. See we have too much

health problmes but keeping aside he put his hand

for nonse task. First health minister are not capable to

solve goa problmes. Keeping in mind first task to

look into mosquitos every corner of south and north.

This is not his task and duty just minister fit for nothing.

They occupy only chair being a minister. They talk

about Chatrapati Shivaji to be conculed english book

about his life profile. Who is Shivaji he has nothing to

do goa. Goans and Goa have tremendous and

dedicated hero such as Jack De Sequire etc. why non

goans to be honoured Mr. Parikkar? You can make out

still marathi manos try to meddle goa with back door

merge and bring goa under marathi regime. People

must think over before such leaders still have hidden

agenda you can say marathi blood and not pure

goans.
