GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 12 February 2013 21:56 IST

The Vasco rape victim’s father has approached the Children’s court, demanding arrest of school headmistress and other for destroying evidence of the horrifying incident.
The father’s contention is that the school headmistress ordered to clean up his seven-year old daughter and delayed intimation to the police.
The incident had taken place almost a month ago when the second standard student was raped in a school toilet.
Following public protests, the police were compelled to register a case also against the schools headmistress and other school employees, on the charges of destruction of evidence.
The school headmistress was also arrested and was later released on conditional bail.
Meanwhile, the crime branch of Goa police, headed by SP Omprakash Kurtarkar, is struggling hard to trace the accused.
