Goa Police have registered a case of sodomy against two staff members and a few inmates of a state-run shelter home for children who allegedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy living in Panaji.
Police spokesman said here that case was registered at Old Goa Police station on the boy's complaint.
A complaint against four inmates and two staff members had been first filed with Child Welfare Committee (CWC), which directed the police to register a case.
A CWC member said the victim, who had been living at the institution for the last two months, had complained that he had been sexually assaulted many times, but was not taken seriously by the concerned persons.
