Alina assures probe into alleged violation by Grand Hyatt

Environment minister has assured to probe into alleged violation by two hotels of constructions within 100 metres of Siridao-Bambolim beach.
St Andre MLA Vishnu Wagh today in the Assembly alleged that Grand Hyatt Resort and Aldeia de Goa Resort had constructions within 100 metres of the high tide line.
While expressing ignorance, Saldanha assured to conduct a site inspection of both the resorts, situated at Bambolim beach.
She said though different respective departments and authorities had reduced the restricted area to 50 metres, the Supreme Court in 1996 had reestablished it to 100 metres.
Wagh also wondered how the whole stretch from Siridao (including Bambolim) to Agacaim was demarcated as a river when it has a beach getting strong waves that happens on the bay.

Siridao-Bambolim stretch is not a river. How someone demarcated these beaches as river! Some vested interests have played mischief.
Even uneducated people know that these are beaches.
