Won't tolerate Russian, Israeli enclaves: CM
PTI, PANAJI | 23 July 2012 20:13 IST

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today warned the Assembly that Russian and Israeli enclaves (colonies) would not be tolerated in the state.
Parrikar told the House that "he had heard about such enclaves existing along the coastline and they would not be tolerated."
The Chief Minister was responding to the concern raised by Congress legislator Mauvin Godinho over the Israelis and Russians creating their own enclaves in Goa, who have been in the state for a long time.
The state government will also ensure that no exclusivity is provided to foreigners in some hotels and shacks, he said.
Also, the hotels and shacks will have to put up sign boards in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi or English, he mentioned.
"Those who put up the board in foreign languages (scripts) will not be given trade licences," he added.
Foreign nationals like Russians and Israelis, who are on long term visas, have created their own colonies in the state's coastline villages like Morjim, Arambol, Calangute and Anjuna.

During my last visit to Goa I was quite appalled by the loud techno music that went on ALL EVENING at the famous Calangute Beach. I was tired from the shopping and wanted to watch the sunset over the ocean and listen to the lapping of the waves on the beach as we have No OCEAN here where I live in the hills. It was the most horrid experience with the pounding of a repetitive beat and ear splitting volume of noise coming out of a shack run by Russians.
As for Anjuna, every house is a drug shack with welfare recipients from European countries doing their thing and contaminating the local mentality. Some of them were pretending to be blind when they could see for the disability payment from their home country and had the gall to tell me so. And our Prime Minister gives 10 billion dollars in loan money to these Europeans so that their losers can come to India and live it up. Not good at all for the local morale...why will Goans work when they see white trash having fun with our donated money to the EU? Please put our own struggling and hardworking disadvantaged people first. It's all fine and dandy to be big spenders with looted money (for someone who pretends to have a disability and collects money from his government IS A THIEF and there should be no doubt about that.
