Male PC assaults lady home guard

A police constable has been booked for allegedly assaulting a lady home guard in Ponda police station, officials said.
Constable Sarvesh Naik attached to Ponda police station was booked for assaulting lady home guard Sunita Gaonkar, when both of them were on duty last night at Ponda police station, 30 kms away from here, they said.
The incident happened around the midnight, officials said adding that the complaint was registered this morning.
The complaint has also been referred to the senior police officials for disciplinary action against the constable.
