I will arrest Goans joining Ram Sene: CM
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 18 July 2012 20:13 IST

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar today finally assured that he would arrest Goan accomplices of Sree Ram Sene as soon as their identity is disclosed.
“I want to know who these Goan youth are who are eager to join SRS”, he told the House.
He also told the House that the district collectors have been issued instructions to take legal steps to take action against Muthalik or his SRS, if they enter Goa.
The issue was raised by Fatorda independent MLA Vijay Sardesai during general debate on the budget.
Sardesai accused the chief minister of not coming forward with a firm hand on SRS in spite of public outcry.
Parrikar also said emphatically that he would not allow crooked mentality like Muthalik even to come near Goa for SRS activities.
SRS chief Pramod Muthalik has been repeatedly announcing that he would open SRS branch in Goa, at the request of Goan youth.
He has also made it amply clear that the SRS would adopt aggressive methods against pub culture in Goa that projects western culture.
He had even announced that he would invite Parrikar to open his branch.
Parrikar, instead of warning Muthalik unlike his predecessor Ravi Naik, had called Muthalik altu faltu while stating that he would break hands of those who take law in their hands.
Following this, urban development minister Francisco D’Souza, in the absence of Parrikar in the Assembly, had justified SRS entry into Goa claiming that the Constitution of India does not permit him to prohibit anybody coming to Goa.
Parrikar however made the things clear today.
"I have kept a watch...I wanted to know who has invited Pramod Muthalik to Goa. Let me come to know and I will take action against them...They will be arrested," Parrikar told the House.
About his silence on the issue al these days, the chief minister said he did so as he wanted to know who had invited Muthalik to the state.
