Ban on Muthalik's entry in Goa extended till Sept

Goa government has extended ban on Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik by two more months, from tomorrow.
Notifications in this regard were issued by both the district magistrates today, stating that Muthalik has been banned from entering Goa.
“His aggressive statements and comments could hurt the community feelings of certain groups and create violence, riots or an affray resulting in serious law and order problem”, stated the notifications.
Muthalik was first banned from entering in Goa in 2009, during the Congress regime, when he had announced to set up Ram Sene branches all over Goa.
Goan youth, who were enraged over his right wing extremist Hindutwa actions of beating young boys and girls in Mangalore pubs, had come together by starting a Facebook page and then marching to the then chief minister’s bungalow, demanding ban on his entry.
Later, after Bharatiya Janata Party government had come to power, Muthalik had made similar announcements while vowing to curb pub culture and free lifestyle of Goa.
He had made provocative statements at the Hindu Sammelan held in Goa, following which Goa’s BJP government had banned his entry from January onwards.
Since then, the state government has been extending ban on his entry by two months every time.
