Radio Indigo to showcase Goan music talent

Indigo Goa Grooves showcases local talent on Indigo 91.9 Indigo 91.9, the only international music station in Goa, in association with Jazz Goa, will showcase Goa's amazing music talent in a two hour weekly show called 'Indigo Goa Grooves'.
The show will be launched on the 29th of July 2012 and will be presented by Jazz Goa's Colin D' Cruz every Sunday at 5 PM.
The objective behind the show is to promote the enormous music talent that Goa takes pride in.
There are a large number of Goan artistes who perform in an around Goa seasonally only to fade away off season.
Indigo Goa Grooves will be the first and only platform to showcase local talent right through the year.
The musicians that will be featured on Indigo Goa Grooves come from various walks of life and belong to a wide age group Bonny Remedios, Yvonne Gonsalves, Chrystal Farrell, Sonia Sirsat and many more represent the more experienced and accomplished set of musicians, young talent like Minelli Pinto a degree student, Aileen Carneiro a young journalist or Carlos Gracias a school student will represent generation next on the show.
The music genres covered in the program range from jazz, rock, pop, funk, fusion, blues, country, R&B and soul all created in Goa!
Besides the obvious Goan and Indian influences the music includes global sounds since Goa is a world tourist destination and local artistes have been interacting with international visiting virtuosos to create some great music that will be broadcast on Indigo Goa Grooves.
Colin D'Cruz has his own recording studio in the quaint village of Sangolda and most of the music that will be broadcast on Indigo Goa Grooves has been produced by him.
He has actively encouraged local talent to take their art form to the next level and in most cases records them for free.
