PM can't blame others for current economy
PTI, PANAJI | 11 July 2012 21:42 IST

Sharpening its attack on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, BJP today said he cannot escape the blame over the current state of economy by pointing the finger at former Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
"As a finance minister, the Prime Minister is now acting overactive, hyperactive and super-active (and) blaming everybody in UPA but himself. He is promising the nation that he will do a miracle to bail out economy," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
Javadekar was speaking to reporters after meeting party MLAs and ministers at Panaji, along with Opposition Presidential nominee P A Sangma, as part of the campaign for the July 19 Presidential polls.
"Singh is blaming former finance minister Pranab Mukherjee for the financial crisis. But the finance minister cannot finalise budget without discussing it with prime minister. The PM has always been in the loop," Jawadekar said.
