The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has restricted the tenure of the president not beyond two terms, of three years each.

The most awaited general body meeting of the GCA yesterday approved the major amendments to the constitution.

The meeting was convened after excluding Dayanand Narvekar as the president of GCA on 12 May.

The general body has restored the old provision of restricting president’s tenure to only two terms.

It was later changed at the initiative of Narvekar during his tenure as the president.

The general body also amended a provision, restraining the managing committee from expelling any member without the support of two third members of the committee.

Narvekar on 12 May was removed with the support of 11 out of total 15 members.
