GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 16 March 2012 21:19 IST

Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party leader Sudin Dhawalikar finally managed to get PWD portfolio, along with his old transport portfolio as chief minister Manohar Parrikar announced portfolios to his five-member cabinet.

The portfolios distributed are as follows:

Francis D’Souza : Urban Development, Revenue and Craftsman Training.

Sudin Dhawalikar : PWD, Transport, River Navigation.

Dayanand Mandrekar : Water Resources, Civil Supplies.

Laxmikant Parsekar : Health, Panchayats, RDA.

Matanhy Saldhana : Tourism, Forest and Environment.

Parrikar said the second phase of cabinet expansion would take place only in the first or second week of April.

Prior to that, he plans to reshuffle the departments allocated to different secretaries as well as bureaucratic reshuffle in the administration.

He also announced that his office at the Porvorim secretariat would be open from 9 am to 9 pm, by appointing additional staff for rotational duties.

Sudin and no corruption sounds a little odd. Still lets give him a chance and see. People change sometimes.

There was a time when 'then' a staunch BJP supporter and a close associate of Manohar bab had said to me "Parrikar said in closed quaters that anyone who thinks corruption can be abolished completely is living in a fools paradise" So very true.

Try and cut down on it manohar bab. If you manage Zero corruption than believe me you will have worked a miracle.

It is very for easy us to write whatever we feel , but as even Prime Minister have confirmed openly compulsion of coalition politics, same thing is also bound to happen with Mr Parrikar i understand MGP ageed to have alliance provided they get 2 ministeries PWD ,Transport also they wanted deputy CM if more than 3 seats got elected ofcourse it looks odd but as lok pal coming up and by knowing that BJP have majority of their own besides another 7 members so he don't have to rely on MGP he can drop Mr Sudin anytime if it is proved that he is doing the same thing what Churchill have done in past. Lets give them the chance Don't compare adminstration of Parrikar to Kamat.

Everything right and well done including 9 to 9 working.

But wish the CM good health all the time and caution on straining himself. Goa needs him for many more years.

MGP (Manohar G. Parrikar) and BJP admirers must keep a close watch on Dhan (wealth) Dhavlikar, he is here to rake in '10000 Rs notes'. A slightest naughtiness from him should deserve a boot from CM.
